Driving Directions

FROM I-95Take exit 20 for Columbus Boulevard towards Washington Avenue. Turn left onto Columbus Boulevard and travel about half a mile, where the Independence Seaport Museum will be on the right.

 

FROM I-76 – Follow signs for I-676 E. Use left two lanes to exit onto I-95 South toward Chester. Use left lane to take exit 20 for Columbus Boulevard towards Washington Avenue. Turn left onto Columbus Boulevard and travel about half a mile, where the Independence Seaport Museum will be on the right.

 

Parking is available in the Hilton Penn’s Landing Parking Garage, located next to Independence Seaport Museum on Columbus Blvd. Parking is also available at the Penn’s Landing Walnut Street Parking Lot adjacent to the Museum. On-street metered parking is available on Front Street and in the surrounding neighborhood.

Public Transit

SEPTA

Take the Market-Frankford (Blue) line to the 2nd Street Station. Exit and head one block east on Market Street, then make a right at Front Street. Walk two blocks south then turn left at Walnut Street. Walk along the red brick bridge and down the stairs at the end, where the Independence Seaport Museum will be on your right.

 

PATCO

Take the High Speed Line toward Philadelphia to the 8th & Market Street Station. Take the escalator or elevator to street level. From there, head seven blocks east on Market Street, then make a right at Front Street. Walk two blocks south then turn left at Walnut Street. Walk along the red brick bridge and down the stairs at the end, where the Independence Seaport Museum will be on your right. You may also request a cab or ride-share service from this station if you prefer not to walk.

 

BUS

SEPTA Bus routes 17, 33, and 48 all run along Market Street. Routes 21 and 42 run along Chestnut Street. Route 25 runs from Frankford Transportation Center down along Christopher Columbus Boulevard.

 

REGIONAL RAIL

All Regional Rail Lines stop at Jefferson Station, located at 11th and Market Streets. Riders can transfer to the nearby Market-Frankford (Blue) Line at the 11th Street Station and take it to the 2nd Street Station or take the 25-minute walk to the Independence Seaport Museum
